Medu Vadai

 Ingredients

1 cup whole whole Urad dal/ Ulutham paruppu - 1 cup

 Onions -1 big or 2 medium sizes.

 Green chillies -2

Ginger - 2 inch piece

 Coriander leaves chopped

 Curry leaves -cut into two pieces

 A pinch of  Asafoetida

Sombu - 1/4 tbs

Lavangam - 2

Pattain - small piece

 Salt for taste

 Oil to fry


Cooking method :
 
1. Soak urad dal for 2 hour at least.
2. Grind urad dal by adding without water then can sprinkle little water. Grind till fluffy. 
3. Cut the onions into very small pieces, 
4. Grind small cut green chillies, ginder , Sombu, lavangam, pattai make a smooth paste in a mixie jar.
5. Now mix the urad dal salt, onions, chilli ginder paste, asafoetida, curry & coriandar leaves, ad mix it well
6. Now wet your right hand well and make a small ball.
 7. And use ur thumb to make hole in the middle, slowly drop into the oil carefully. Oil is heat, so should drop very slowly otherwise it will burn the fingers.
8.Fry in medium flame,turn the vadais and fry till both the sides turn crisp and golden brown
9. Remove from oil now ready to serve.
