White / Black Channa Sundal

Ingredients :

1. White or Black Channa - 1 cup
2. Salt
 -------------

3.  Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
4   Oil - 2 tbsp
5.  Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
6.  Urad Dhal - 2 tsp
7. Red chillies - 2
8. Curry leaves - 1 twigs

Preparation :



1. Soak Channa over night or Morning to Evening, Wash it, Put into Pressure cooker, leave it for 3 whistles.  If it is not soaked well, (ie less than 12 hours)  leave it for 6-7 more whistles. 

2. Remove the steam, filter it, add salt, mix it well .

Actually Sundal Recipe has to be completed as under :

3. Heat the oil in a pan,  add the mustard seeds, when it cracks, add  Urad dhal, Break red chillies into 2-3 pieces and Curry leaves.

4. Fry it until Urad dhal turns into golden brown, add the drained Cooked Channa, Coconut. Mix it well under flame for 2-3 mins.
