Chicken Kozhambu

Ingredients :

  1. Chicken – ½ kg
  2. Ginger Garlic paste – 2 tspn
  3. Onion – Big One or Small 10 nos
  4. Tomato – medium Size – 2
  5. Potato – 2 medium size
  6. Turmeric powder – little
  7. Chilli powder – 2.5 tspn
  8. Aniseed – ¼ tbsp
  9. Cinnamon : a small piece  
  10. Clove : 2
  11. Bay leaves : little
  12. Oil : 4 tpsn
  13. Curry leaves – 2 twigs
  14. Coriander leaves
  15. Salt
Preparation:

1. Heat oil directly in the cooker, add aniseed, cinnamon, clove n bay leaf, saute it until brown.
2. Add finely chopped onions, fry it until brown, add garlic ginger paste saute it few mins, add tomatoes saute it well, add turmeric powder, add now peeled cut potatoes mix it, add cleaned chicken,add half of finely chopped coriander leaves, few curry leaves fry it for 2-3 mins.
3. Add chilli powder, Salt, if required little water, close the cooker, wait for 3 sounds, switch of the stove.
4. Few mins later, Open cooker, mix the kozhambu well, if you want a thick gravy smash the potatoes(alone) keep it under heat for 3-4 mins and add balance coriander leaves and curry leaves.

Now it is ready to serve.
